At november 2011′s Tokyo Motor Show , Volkswagen have debuted a Cross Coupe concept car, which has been said that it will be the car maker’s a new compact- class SUV ‘s future direction.Anyway, souces from wolfsburg reveal that this concept is actually preview new SUV but it not directly transform to next generation of Tiguan but it preview a new compact crossover with Coupe styling that will target more sporty and upmarket’s customer than the Tiguan.Yep,Autointrends have been said that the car will base from Tiguan and more information of the Tiguan Coupe is not available now.

We know that the Tiguan replacement will arrive around 2014 as 2015 model year.It means that the car have life for 7 year since it arrive in 2007.Tiguan have been it best of it class if we consider the sale volume in Europe. And also set new stardard for compact SUV in term of solid build and ride quality.It mat be not as fun as Ford Kuga but it have more comfortable ride.

The new car will share basic technique and many components from next generation VW goft (that will arrive in 2013).Underpining the “MQB” platform.The car expect not increase in size of the current car(4345mm long X 1868mm width and 1680 mm height and 2630 mm wheelbase which depend on each countries).Tiguan will spawn to 3 new car including normal Tiguan,”Tiguan XL” or LWB that available only in China(Yep,just like the current model) and addition of Coupe version that Autointrends said above.

Under the hood will be Petrol 1.4 TSI 140 PS/250 Nm ,Petrol 2.0 TFSI, 180 PS/320 Nm and 2.0 TFSI 220 PS/350 Nm.Diesel will include 2.0 TDI 140 PS/320 Nm, 2.0 TDI 177 Nm PS/400 Nm ,That was Georg Kacher told us.mate with 6 speed manual box and 7 speed DSG dual clutch transmission.

New information from automobilemag also told that the car will aviable with 2 choise of electric motor that power 80 hp and 110 hp with plug-in charging point and direct-injection turbocharged gasoline (TSI)

The car will have lower cost of production as it will share many component with Seat Compact SUV that spawn from IBX concept. The sale will kick off in 2014 and for North American will be offer withTDI diesel engine in the same year (As they report that price of making diesel for Tiguan now is not competitive)
